DC Fan Dome kicked off the weekend with an excellent panel of guests from the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984 movie, which is due to be released October 2020. The panel was hosted by Brazilian hosts Érico Borgo and Aline Diniz, and included the main cast such as Chris Pine who is reprising his role as Steve Trevor, Kristen Wiig who is this years hottest new villain Cheetah, Pedro Pascal who is portraying Maxwell Lord, Patty Jenkins who is returning to direct the film since she did such an incredible job last time, and of course Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot! However, fans were surprised with a special appearance from the original live action Wonder Woman TV series actress, Lynda Carter!

Lynda Carter expressed her excitement for the film, as Gal and Patty Jenkins expressed their love for Lynda’s interpretation of the character and how much it inspired them during the making of the two films. For those of you who are unaware, Lynda Carter played Diana Prince a.k.a Wonder Woman in her own live action TV series from 1975 to 1979. By today’s standards this show will seem campy but it is a piece of television history that has helped shape the comics world when it comes to live action performances, and Lynda Carter looked damn good as the Amazon Princess.

After talking about the film for some time and having seen the first trailer, fans were hoping to catch a glimpse at some new footage, specifically with the hopes of seeing the appearance of Cheetah in her animalistic form, and boy did DC FanDome deliver. We got a second trailer for WW84 which you can check out below!
From this new trailer we get to see more of what to expect from this sequel to 2017’s Wonder Woman, and the appearance of Cheetah looks excellent!
It seems a lot of the humour of this film which adds to it’s charm, will come from Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, who is back from the dead and adapting to the new era, where technology and style has evolved into something completely new. The action looks epic, the costume designs are fantastic, and the overall look and feel of this film is spot on.
The whole cast and crew of this film are going to bring us yet another exceptional DC movie and I for one can’t wait.
