Our second video game reveal from Warner Bros. at DC FanDome comes from the makers of the Arkham Games, and whilst this new game feels a little different in tone to the Arkham Games, especially considering we just saw Gotham Knights beforehand, apparently this game is set in the same universe that has already been established in the Batman: Arkham game series. Which feels bizarre once you watch the trailer.
However, that’s not to say this game doesn’t look or feel good, because honestly I am super happy to get a new video game where we play as Villains/anti-heroes rather than the super heroes we all know and love, but better yet, we get to hunt down and kill those super heroes we all know and love.
Rocksteady Games have given us the next DC game of the Arkham universe and this time we get to play as four members of the Suicide Squad. Giving players the chance to take on the role of Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang or Deadshot, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is going to be a fun game where you will face hordes of enemies, fight against what seem to be brainwashed members of the Justice League, as well as choosing from any of the four characters at any given time. Also included is a multiplayer option where you can team up with friends and choose your favourite member of the Task Force to fight side by side, with the ability to jump in and out of multiplayer and single player modes without having to restart your progress in the levels or the story.
The game takes place in Metropolis instead of Gotham, and each playable character appears to have their own unique set of abilities as well as a choice of weapons for both close-combat and ranged attacks.
Besides what we see in the trailer we weren’t given too much more information about it, besides the fact that we have to wait until 2022 to play it, which is going to be a long wait for some of us, but the opportunity to play as these fun and quirky characters will be worth the wait I’m sure.
