I’m a little late to the party with this one because I’ve been busy and not been able to keep up with Kevin Smith’s posts recently.
On September 16th 2019, Smith released this sneak preview clip on YouTube, from his upcoming film Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. This clip shows us a preview of the fictional Bluntman V Chronic movie that is being made in Hollywood, based upon the comicbook characters based on Jay and Silent Bob, written by Holden McNeil (Ben Affleck) and Banky Edwards (Jason Lee) in the 1997 film Chasing Amy.
Check out the clip below:
This scene stars Melissa Benoist (TV’s Supergirl on The CW) as Jay’s character Chronic, and Val Kilmer (Batman Forever) as Silent Bob’s character Bluntman, along with a cameo by none other than Tommy Chong himself.

In this scene Jay says the line:
“Sorry to How High dudes, but this is now the greatest film ever made”
This is a reference to a cameo in an earlier segment of the film, as seen in the trailer, featuring Method Man and Redman, stars of the classic ‘stoner’ comedy film How High.

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot is out on October 15th (US) and 29th November (UK). Check out the Official Red Band Trailer below:
